Canberra Weekend Adventure – Paddle, Hike and Bike
March 14 @ 5:00 pm - March 16 @ 5:00 pm
$450
Our new Canberra Weekend Adventure is the best way to experience the capital!
Departing Friday late afternoon, we will be venturing to our nation’s capital city by minivan. This adventure has been timed to coincide with the annual Hot Air Balloon Festival. Dependent on the launch schedule, we will enjoy an early morning paddle beneath the colourful hot-air balloons on Lake Burley Griffin, and explore the local trails with an afternoon hike. The following day, we will begin with a pancake breakfast and stunning view at the National Arboretum before cycling around the lakeshore to finish at Kingston markets. We plan to cater for beginner to experienced adventurers and will be moving at a relaxed pace.
Our two-nights of accommodation is at a large property in Deakin (near Parliament House) – a convenient base for our weekend. Accommodation is arranged on a twin-share basis, and all meals (excluding Sunday breakfast) are to be self-catered. Each person to provide their own hiking gear, however all paddling and cycling equipment will be provided. Shuttle van transfer for meals/shopping can be arranged upon request, so you can sample the best of Canberra’s food scene. We will be making stops on our road journey for Friday night dinner and on Sunday for a cafe lunch.
Strictly limited to a maximum of 7 participants, for an ideal small-group experience.
The Canberra Weekend Adventure is packaged at $450.00 pp (includes accommodation, transfers from Lake Macquarie area, use of kayaking and cycling gear, Sunday breakfast and the services of your experienced guide for the duration). Contact Peter for further information or to ask any questions.
