  • Experiencing and learning Maasai tradition
  • Culture Visiting exotic Zanzibar
  • Learning about efforts to help educate some of the next generation of Tanzanian children!

Virtually everything is included and booked on your behalf- the transfers, the flights, the visit to St Judes, the safari, the trekking on Mt Kilimanjaro/cultural tour option and the stay in Zanzibar! Check-in at Sydney airport on June 10 and your luggage goes straight through to Kilimanjaro airport in Tanzania-the same procedure applies on the way back from Zanzibar to Sydney.

We only use reputable, safe and experienced Tanzanian operators who know their country and this also ensures local people benefit from our visit. Your Australian tour coordinator will travel with you for the trip duration and will be available 24/7 to ensure your needs are met.

  • Stay in comfortable, warm huts each night, and enjoy an acclimatisation day (Day 3) and mix with travellers from around the world.
  • Push your physical and mental limits to ascend at night on the final section to the ‘Roof of Africa’. This not an adventure to be taken lightly but the feelings of elation on reaching the summit are worthwhile.
  • A series of at least 6 training walks will be conducted (at no additional cost) in the Central Coast/Hunter region to help trekkers improve their fitness and ensure they are thoroughly prepared.

OPTION 2: Cultural Tour

For those not wishing to partake in the Kilimanjaro trek, another option is available in the form of a Cultural Tour.

  • Travellers will enjoy exploring the region and local villages around Mt Kilimanjaro, including visits to a Maasai school, the local markets and indulging in the divine coffee from a plantation.
  • Then its a quick flight to the exotic Zanzibar (just off the coast of Tanzania) to immerse yourself in the island’s rich history and culture, before re-joining with the other travellers from the mountain.
